Algorithm
Its sole purpose is to help you find the person made for you. We are delighted to have you as a member of the community, but we certainly don’t want to see you eternally single within it—quite the opposite.
Our level of commitment is the same whether it’s hioosh or its members. So, we want to set an example by sharing its rules with you so that you know what is expected of you when you use the app.
Its operation reflects the guidelines of our Code of Conduct. The goal: to create a safe and supportive space where everyone is free to be themselves.
It all starts with a basic principle, your “trust level.” The higher it is, the more visibility you gain, and the greater your chances of connecting with the person meant for you.
The trust level rating system described above directly reflects your ability to adhere to the code of conduct rules, divided into three categories: completing your profile, verifying your identity, and respecting your interactions.
- Rule #1 The more people you invite, the more likely you are to find the person meant for you: put simply, the larger your network of close connections on hioosh, the more your trust level increases (because this reassures other members of the community), and the more likely you are to meet the person meant for you.
- Rule #2 More transparency means more trust, and as you know, that’s the secret to any relationship: to put it even more simply, complete your profile 100% and verify your email—all with the aim of reassuring the community. Be careful: changing your information too often may signal insincerity and could lead to a temporary or even permanent suspension of your account.
- Rule #3 The more you respect others, the more respect you receive: as simple as that—no ghosting, and exchanges should be respectful and considerate.
Please note, we are extremely vigilant with these rules and entirely inflexible. The safety, respect, and well-being of our members are our top priorities. We therefore apply zero tolerance toward any deviant behavior.
hioosh takes all your search preferences into account. If no profile matches, the algorithm prioritizes certain criteria.
- Criteria are sorted into three more or less prioritized categories:
- Vital criteria: gender, gender preference, place of residence, etc.
- Important criteria: age, type of relationship sought, height, etc.
- Eliminating criteria: a user who didn’t select your profile, hid it, or even reported it.
The most influential criterion: the number of close connections two singles have in common. The more close connections you share with someone, the closer the algorithm brings you to each other.
And how is my profile evaluated ?
The algorithm considers your search criteria but also your behavior in order to propose your profile to the most relevant singles, provided, of course, that you respect the hioosh code of good conduct.
